Dennis comes from Orlando, Florida. USA.  In 1989 he and PGA Champions Tour player Donnie Hammond raised US$ 20,000 to start a scholarship fund for junior golfers in Orlando, Florida; this led in 1992 to the creation of the Evergreen Youth Foundation.  Four of the young golfers supported by this foundation's efforts got their PGA Tour card, including Chris DiMarco.  Dennis believes that golf and caddying teaches children life and social skills.  He founded the PCA-Professional Caddie Association Foundation (which is in the process of changing its name to the TCF-The Caddie Foundation); since 1997 this group has help certifiy and train more than 10,500 caddies worldwide, runs extensive internet and onsite training  programs worldwide and the worldwide PCA Caddie Hall of Fame.
