Asian Golf Course Owners Association (AGCOA) is a non-profit organization officially launched on 9th June 2005. It seeks to provide golf owners in Asia with the tools they need to succeed in the complex and competitive golf business. Its ultimate aim is to create the networking platform and to ensure that golf courses in the continent continue to meet the demands of the golfers across the globe. AGCOA provides business solutions and recognitions to golf course owners, management and operators.
Objectives
- To gather all Asian golf course owners to increase bargaining power with suppliers.
- To consider the problems of operation, management and promotion of golf faced by owners and operators of golf courses in Asia.
- To promote activities designed to increase the efficiency of golf courses and golf-related operations.
- To promote cooperation and exchange of ideas and experiences among members.
- To gain recognition.
- To provide opportunities for networking and partnership.
- To provide continuous educational programs in the industry through special events, seminars and workshops.
- To provide effective human resource management and expertise-exchange within the industry.
Interest in/activities relating to IGOLF's mission
- Educating golf courses about the importance of being Environmental and Socially responsible through AGCOA’s bi-monthly publication – Golf Business Asia and regular events and activities.
- Maintain a relationship for both organization (IGOLF and AGCOA) with a link on both websites and sharing of information and resources.
- Provide certification to members and golf courses endorses by both organization that qualifies the mission.
