Key achievements in environment/social activities
Environmental
- Reduced chemical use, only as required.
- Water comes from rain water, collected in ponds on the course.
- Extensive biodiversity.
- More trees (number and species) inside the course than outside.
- Extensive tree planting, some 20 different species, mostly indigenous.
- Some 10,000 individual plants.
- More than 30 bird species identified (more than in surrounding agricultural areas).
- Electricity conservation through limited use of irrigation pumps, staff rigorously observe cut-off times for kitchen lights and clubhouse air-conditioning.
- Sorting and recycling of dry and wet rubbish.
Social
- Numerous activities to help local communities under the theme "Finna Care".
Philosophy
"At Finna we recognize our responsibility to provide a first-class golfing experience while enhancing nature. I’m particularly proud of the extensive diversity of plants and trees we have, which in turn attracts birds and animals. We are expanding our environmental efforts to other aspects of our operation, including water conservation and energy conservation."
