Course description

The Club's two 18-hole golf courses, The Legends and the Masters are the first ever golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus in the Philippines. Both are designed for world-standard championship tournaments. The Legends Course was opened in October 1992 with a Tom Kite-John Daly Shootout, and has 7,093 yards, 3 lakes, 81 bunkers, and par 72.

The sprawling 140 hectares that make up Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club, for the exclusive use of its members, is located in Carmona, Cavite approximately 30 kms. south of Makati, Metro Manila. These two golf courses were the first of many constructed by a leader of golf course development in the country,Fil-Estate Golf and Development Incorporated. State of the art golf course construction was implemented to provide all weather golfing conditions. A weather station and a computerized irrigation system further ensures year round golfing. The greens are planted with Tifton grass. Materials used such as pea gravel, top dressing sand and greens mix were tested and approved by the U.S. Golf Association.

The focal point of the Club facilities is the Main Clubhouse that is perched over the 18th green, the 10th hole and the 9th island green of the Masters Course.

The Club was officially introduced to the public on September 20, 1990.
