Course description

  • 18-holes, par 72.
  • Built on site of former tin mine, Red Mountain has left the surrounding natural habitat untouched; the golfer a sense of privacy on every hole.
  • Located  just 10 minutes from Patong beach or 15 minutes from Phuket town.

Special features/accolades

  • Awarded 2nd runner up by Asian Golf Monthly magazine for the “best new course 2007” in Asia category.

Key achievements in environment/social activities

  • Our goal during construction was to preserve the existing wildlife and forests which we continually maintain. We plan to conduct a wildlife census and attach signage to all indigenous plants and trees on the course.
  • Red Mountain Golf Club preserves remains from the old ‘Tin Mine’ factories, which have now been engulfed with vegetation, sustaining the historic features of the vicinity.
  • In addition to caddie training, we also provide a ‘caddie fund’ that pays for their healthcare benefits and accident insurance.

Philosophy
“Red Mountain provides an experience, not just a round of golf. We strive to provide the best golfing experience achievable. Our staff understands the needs of golfers and the small details that make all the difference. We also recognize the need to preserve and encourage the existing natural habitat and the long term ecological benefits involved. We are honored to be a member of IGOLF and the worldwide environmental and social sustainability it strives to attain.”
