Key Achievements

   Environmental

  • During construction, many native trees and plants were left untouched and where needed, relocated to preserve local heritage.
  • Minimum use of chemicals. Where possible curative rather than preventive methods promoted in our horticultural practices.
  • Use of liquid fertilizer, hence leaching is minimised and water usage reduced drastically.
  • 100% hand-weeding on greens and tee boxes.
  • Non playing areas left untouched and improved to encourage wildlife habitat.
  • Lakes are left in natural state with introduction of a variety of fish.
  • Two new " REX " compactors being installed to introduce waste recycling and proper waste.
  • Waste is internally treated at the sewage treatment plant instead of overloading public facilities.
  • Major irrigation performed before dawn to reduce cost and load on public utility system.
  • Grey water recycled from restaurants and clubhouse is channeled into the sewage treatment plant and the treated recycled water is discharged into a holding pond for landscaping and gardening.
  • No city water is used – most water comes from rainwater.
  • Extensive biodiversity, particularly important since the surrounding area includes towns, industrial parks and residential development with little or limited greenery and no wildlife.

   Social activities
Creating and maintaining good relationships with the villages/communes around our Resort
   through:

  • Renovation of their temples and churches.
  • Building proper storm water drainage systems to resolve potential flooding problems for the villages.
  • Supply of basic necessities on a monthly basis to poor families.
  • Provide perimeter security patrols outside our borders.

  • Schools - providing scholarships for poor and outstanding students in primary, secondary and high school.
  • Orphanages - Yearly sponsorship for an orphanage foundation since 2002.
  • Raising funds through the organisation of charity golf events.
  • From 1995 to 1997 and 2002, organised Vietnam's first charity golf tournament with all proceeds benefitting the poor in the Province, providing 40 wheelchairs for poor disabled children and the building of 50 charity houses for the very poor families in the Province.
