AGCOA joins IGOLF Partnership Council

Singapore-based organization provides links to some 2,000 golf clubs in Asia

The largest golf course owners association in Asia has become a member of the IGOLF Partnership Council.

AGCOA wants to educate golf courses about the importance of being environmentally and socially-responsible,” notes Lyndia Tan, director of Member Services. “This is essential for the future of the industry, and of course for the well-being of our communities and our planet.”

AGCOA, a Singapore-based non-profit organization, runs regular seminars and training programs for their members. They produce a bi-monthly publication – Golf Business Asia – to which IGOLF directors and experts regularly contribute.

“We are very excited about this partnership because it encourages IGOLF to speak directly with the people who own most of Asia’s most successful golf courses,” notes Paul Sochaczewski, IGOLF chairman.  “We have been very encouraged by AGCOA’s eagerness to develop projects that support their members and improve the communities in which they operate.”
