Gassan Khuntan Honored with International Recognition
Gassan Khuntan Golf and Resort today became the first golf course in the north of Thailand to be recognized as an IGOLF Laureate Course.
Gassan Khuntan is the eight course in Thailand to be so recognized, and the first in the north of the country.
In bestowing the recognition, IGOLF President and CEO Daniel Navid congratulated Gassan on its efforts to create an environmentally and socially-responsible golf course.
The recognition was presented to Mr. Pravit, president of the Gassan Group. Guests of honor at the ceremony included: Macao Commissioner Lu Shumin, Thai Consul Vichai Vorasirikul based in Hong Kong, Mr. Junapong Sararat, director of Hongkong TAT, Banharn Buranaprapa, vice governor of Lumphun Province,
Mr. Pairot Sangpoo-wong, vice governor of Chiangmai Province and Major General Boonmee Somsuk, the Gendarme Commander of Lumphun Province.
Mr. Pravit Reang-po expressed appreciation for this honor and stressed Gassan's continued commitment to environmental conservation and to supporting the local community.
